CETILAR VILLORBA CORSE PRESENTED THE DALLARA P217 LMP2

Under the Leaning Tower in Pisa Lacorte, Sernagiotto and Belicchi unveiled the LMP2 prototype that is going to race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the European le Mans Series, starting from Monza these days: “The dream came true, now the real challenge begins”.

On Saturday, March 25 under such an exclusive place as the Leaning Tower in Pisa Cetilar Villorba Corse unveiled their Dallara P217 that will take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June. In an auspicious rain, the entire Italian team presented their 2017 racing programme and the LMP2 prototype that will enter the legendary endurance race and the European Le Mans Series. Team principal Raimondo Amadio and racing drivers Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi unveiled the new sportscar next to Giampaolo Dallara and Pisa's mayor Marco Filippeschi. Dallara himself said: “For sure this is a fantastic group with good drivers and a professional team. We are confident about Le Mans and I believe that we will come back in Italy with a smile on our faces”.
During this unique ceremony Lacorte was awarded by his Municipality with one of its highest honour, the “Guerriero Pisano” (“Pisan Warrior”), dedicated to Pisan citizens who have distinguished themselves in the world. During the press conference, trailer of the “Road to Le Mans” movie was presented (here is the link: https://vimeo.com/195085845). The movie will be presented in the coming weeks and describes the evolution of Lacorte and Sernagiotto's racing project now transformed in “Italian Spirit of Le Mans” thanks to the help of Villorba Corse, Belicchi and several Italian technical and commercial partners such as the main brand “Cetilar”. On March 28-29 Cetilar Vilorba Corse will be on track in Monza for the ELMS official test.
Team Principal Amadio says: “It is a special moment for our team. The dream came true and now the real challenge begins. Finally we are projected towards Le Mans, which is The Race. Our racing drivers are capable and we will fight to give our best even for the Italian colours. Let's hope that the Italian saying about the rain is true so that a rainy debut is a lucky debut”.

PESCATORI IS THE NEW SD OF CETILAR VILLORBA CORSE FOR PROJECT LMP2

Italian driver will flank team principal Amadio as coordinator of the 2017 LMP2 endurance programme that is involving Belicchi / Lacorte / Sernagiotto on the new Dallara.

Cetilar Villorba Corse have appointed Christian Pescatori as their new sporting director for the 2017 LMP2 endurance programme. Second overall in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2001 and 2002, Italian driver and coach will flank team principal Raimondo Amadio as coordinator of the “Road to Le Mans” project that is already involving the crew formed by Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Andrea Belicchi at the wheel of the new Dallara LMP2 prototype. Pescatori's arrival at Cetilar Villorba Corse is a new step forward in the organization of the work and it also represents another piece of the puzzle to complete an all “made in Italy” racing programme. 

The new sporting director will work alongside Amadio letting his wide experience available to the whole team; “I am really excited about this collaboration with Cetilar Villorba Corse - Pescatori says -. Being back to work on a programme that includes the cars of my dreams, prototypes, is a very inspiring situation. I have already talked with Amadio and the team, we are very motivated but also well aware that this season will be a huge undertaking for all of us”.

Team principal Amadio adds; “First of all, our best welcome to Christian. I am sure that his unquestionable driving skills, international experience and brilliant achievements will provide a significant contribution to the growth of the whole team and to the process of optimization of our internal structures”.

VILLORBA CORSE AND LACORTE - SERNAGIOTTO AT GREAT FINAL ELMS IN ESTORIL

After the announcement of the LMP2 entry with Dallara in 2017, Italian team will end the season in Portugal with Lacorte / Sernagiotto on their Ligier JS P3 Nissan. Villorba Corse will also line up a Ferrari 458 for french crew Mezard / Hiesse in the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup.


LMP2 entry with Dallara in 2017 still echoes, but Scuderia Villorba Corse is set and very much concentrated on the 2016 European Le Mans Series grand finale in Portugal. The event will be held at the Estoril racing circuit from October 21 to 23, when Roberto Lacorte and Giorgio Sernagiotto will alternate on their Ligier JS P3 Nissan. After the consistent performances shown at Le Castellet and Spa, Italian squad led by Raimondo Amadio aims to end the season in style with a positive result. The 4 Hours of Estoril will feature a large 37 car grid (19 LMP3s) that promises plenty of on track action. VILLORBA CORSE AND MASERATI TAKE PART IN THE FINAL GT4

Italian team to take part in the final and crucial round at Zandvoort with Pro-class crew Anselmi / Zamparini and Polish Am-class pair formed by Chodzen father and son.

2016. Scuderia Villorba Corse is ready to take part in the final and crucial round of the Competition102 GT4 European Series with two Maserati GranTurismo MC. The championship showdown will be held in the Netherlands at Zandvoort from October 7 to 9. On this occasion the team led by Raimondo Amadio has a chance to fight for a final podium position in the standings with Luca Anselmi, who is battling also in the drivers' standings, and Patrick Zamparini, the Italian crew that clinched one victory and two pole positions during last round at the Hungaroring. “Finalraces” at Zandvoort are announced to be a very demanding racing weekend for them, who will share the #90 Maserati for the second time. Also the Am-class line-up remains the same with Polish Piotr and his son Antoni Chodzen together again. Track action starts on Friday with a 60-minute free practice session at 14h30. After a second practice session on Saturday, at 10h30, the team will qualify from 14h50 that same day. The two races will be held on Sunday, October 9. Race-1 will start at 10h00 while the race-2 at 15h00. Both races will be shown live at www.gt4series.com/live .

Team Principal Amadio says: “Zandvoort will not be an easy weekend as the Dutch circuit is tricky and very difficult but we are determined to get the best possible result to be able to end our first GT4 season as one of the top team of the category. With no doubt 2016 is a positive season that allowed us to start a new and very interesting adventure as the Competition102 GT4 European Series. We are really pleased with the collaboration with Maserati and we are already working at the 2017 programme”.

VILLORBA CORSE JUMP TO LMP2 WITH THE NEW DALLARA

In 2017 the Italian team will debut in the top category of ELMS with Roberto Lacorte on the new prototype upgrading its endurance racing programme and the “Road to Le Mans” project.

In 2017 Scuderia Villorba Corse will boost its endurance racing programme moving from LMP3 to LMP2 category, where the Italian team will line up the new Dallara prototype. Collaborating with the famous Italian car manufacturer represents a crucial step for the “Road to Le Mans” project inaugurated by Villorba Corse in 2015. Still involved in 2016 European Le Mans Series, Roberto Lacorte, the mind of this project, will be one of the drivers competing in the championship also in 2017, this time in the top class. The names of the other two drivers involved in this LMP2 campaign will be announced soon.

VILLORBA CORSE DEBUT WITH LACORTE - SERNAGIOTTO TO SPA

After many successes in GT racing, for the first time the Italian team gets to the legendary Belgian track with Lacorte / Sernagiotto and the Ligier JS P3 Nissan prototype, ready for the fifth round of the endurance series. Villorba Corse will also enter a Ferrari 458 for Mezard / Hiesse in GT3 Le Mans Cup.

Scuderia Villorba Corse heads to Belgium for the fifth and penultimate round of the 2016 European Le Mans Series from September 23 to 25 at Spa-Francorchamps. The ELMS returns to Spa for the first time since 2011 and will be one of the most fiercely contested races of the season. Italian team will continue the “Road to Le Mans” project with Roberto Lacorte and Giorgio Sernagiotto behind the wheel of their Ligier JS P3 Nissan. The squad led by Raimondo Amadio claims many successes in GT racing at Spa but next weekend they will race there for the first time with an LMP3 prototype. A challenge in the challenge that will make even more significant an already demanding round of the ELMS after the pace shown and the positive result clinched by Lacorte / Sernagiotto at Le Castellet last month. The 4 Hours of Spa will be held on Sunday 25 September at 14h00 CET and with a large grid of 41 cars (20 LMP3s) competing for top honours across the three classes of Le Mans Prototypes and GT Endurance cars. Live coverage of the race will be on the official ELMS website at www.europeanlemansseries.com. Fans in Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and the Baltic States can see the race live on Sports TV. Motors TV will be showing a delayed live broadcast from 17h00 CET across Europe and 16h00 BST in the UK. BT Sport will also show a delayed live broadcast in the UK.
Team Principal Amadio says; “We need and want to do well at Spa. For the team this is the first experience with an LMP3 prototype on this fascinating track after the past satisfactions in GT racing so we are well aware that it won't be easy at all. Our main goal is a competitive and consistent race that can allow us to score points for the championship”.

The 4 Hours of Spa is a new addition to the ELMS calendar and the weekend also includes round five of the brand new Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup, with the 2-hour race on Saturday, September 24, when Villorba Corse will line up a Ferrari 458 for French crew formed by Cedric Mezard and Steeve Hiesse; “After the good performance at the Paul Ricard circuit - Amadio ends - we get back on track in Belgium with our 'Racing with Ferrari' programme too. As usual, Spa will be very challenging, above all for drivers, and, moreover, the balance of performance will not make things easier, but, also looking to our wins here, we can still be confident for the race”.

VILLORBA CORSE AND MASERATI AT THE EUROPEAN GT4 AT THE HUNGARORING

After a long summer break, on September 23-25 Italian team will take part in the fifth round of the SRO-promoted championship with Pro-class crew Anselmi / Zamparini, who will race together for the first time, and Polish Am-class pair formed by Chodzen father and son.

After a long summer break, the Competition102 GT4 European Series resumes this week with round five of the season in Hungary where Scuderia Villorba Corse is ready to fight back with their Maserati GranTurismo MC again. Still among the top drivers in the standings, where he is fighting for the overall podium, for the first time Monza race-1 winner Luca Anselmi will share the #90 Maserati with Patrick Zamparini, who also won at Monza but in the Am category. So Villorba Corse will line up a brand new crew to fight in the Pro class while the second one remains unchanged and it is formed by Polish Piotr and his son Antoni Chodzen. For the first time, the Hungaroring will host a round of the championship and 27 cars have been entered for the two 50-minute races at the circuit in Mogyoród, near Budapest. The weekend will kick off on Friday, September 23, with two one-hour free practice sessions. The first session will start at 11:00, with a second session scheduled for 15:40. Qualifying for the two races will take place on Saturday morning at 9:40. The first race will start at 17:45 that same day; the second race will take place on Sunday morning at 9:30. Team Principal Amadio says: “The season comes alive with the final rush at Budapest this weekend and at Zandvoort in October. Still one hundred points are to be assigned so the championship is wide open. We believe that the new Anselmi / Zamparini crew can be competitive and able to clinch an useful result. It will be very important not to make mistakes and to try to score as many points as possible already from race-1”.

VILLORBA CORSE PROTAGONIST OF THE 4 HOURS DEL PAUL RICARD IN ELMS

Italian team back in ELMS with Lacorte / Sernagiotto on the Ligier JS P3 Nissan.

Scuderia Villorba Corse gets back on track after the summer break for the fourth round of the European Le Mans Series, to be held on the Paul Ricard circuit from August 26 to 28. Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio will take part in the 4 Hours of Le Castellet with racing drivers Roberto Lacorte and Giorgio Sernagiotto behind the wheel of the Ligier JS P3 Nissan. Aiming to a positive result in the LMP3 category and working hard on performances, Italian crew tested on the French track just before the international event which will host 40 cars, 20 of them in the LMP3 class. The weekend will kick off with two 90-minute free practice sessions followed by qualifying, scheduled on Saturday at 12h50, and by the endurance race, scheduled on Sunday at 14h00.

Team Principal Amadio says; “We are back on one of our most favourite track where we worked very hard during the week. We tested for 400 kilometres collecting useful technical and setup data so we are ready to start our racing weekend. We know very well that this second part of the LMP3 season will be intensive and even more demanding”.

VILLORBA CORSE COME BACK IN ELMS AT THE 4 HOURS OF THE RED BULL RING

Italian team to take part in the third round of the series aiming for a positive result in the LMP3 category with Lacorte / Sernagiotto / Schirò on the Ligier JS P3 Nissan: "We have to capitalize our performances".

After the non-championship commitment in the “sprint” race held in the context of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Scuderia Villorba Corse fully return in the European Le Mans Series, which represents its “real” 2016 endurance racing programme and a crucial part in the “Road to Le Mans” project. On Sunday, July 17 Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio will take part in the 4 Hours of the Red Bull Ring, Austria, third round of the championship, with the Ligier JS P3 Nissan. Hunting for a positive result in the LMP3 category there will be the crew formed by Roberto Lacorte, Giorgio Sernagiotto and Niccolò Schirò. The latter will drive a prototype at the Austrian track for the first time, while Lacorte / Sernagiotto finished on podium last year. With 38 cars entered (19 LMP3!), the weekend will kick off with two 90-minute free practice sessions followed by qualifying, scheduled on Saturday at 12h10, and by the race, scheduled on Sunday at 14h00.

Team Principal Amadio says; “After the emotions felt in the context of the 24 Hours and in the wake of the good performance shown we get back to our 'Road to Le Mans' project in a crucial and very demanding ELMS round where we need to fight back. We have to capitalize our performances as, despite we were not able to score championship points, they were really good both at Silverstone and Imola. Teamwork is going very well, in Le Mans the car was very good and in last year's race we clinched a great podium here. That should give us motivation and confidence”.

VILLORBA CORSE AND THE MASERATI COME BACK IN THE EUROPEAN GT4 TO SPA

Scuderia Villorba Corse enters round four of the Competition102 GT4 European Series that will take place at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. Their Maserati GranTurismo MC are ready for the very demanding and full of adrenaline two-day event of the international championship promoted by SRO Motorsports Group, scheduled on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 of July. The squad led by Raimondo Amadio gets back in the series with Luca Anselmi confirmed on the #190 Maserati. Monza race-1 winner alongside Giorgio Sernagiotto, in Belgium the 25 year old Italian driver will share the car with Michael Blanchemain, French driver who claims a participation in the classic Spa 24 Hours, while the second Villorba Corse crew remains unchanged for Polish pair formed by Piotr and Antoni Chodzen, at the moment sixth in the Am-class standings. A total of 29 GT4 cars are expected to take part in the fourth round of the Competition102 GT4 European Series at Spa (plus 32 cars from the British GT Championship). VILLORBA CORSE TAKE THE "ROAD TO LE MANS" WITH LACORTE - SERNAGIOTTO

Just before the famous 24 Hours, Italian team enters their regular ELMS crew on Ginetta-Nissan LMP3 and also Mezard / Hiesse on Ferrari 458 in this special GT3 Le Mans Cup race.

Relevant step forward of their “Road to Le Mans” project for Scuderia Villorba Corse and racing drivers Roberto Lacorte and Giorgio Sernagiotto. Fully committed on their second European Le Mans Series season, Italian team and their crew will race on the French legendary 13.6 kilometers circuit for the first time in a non-championship event to be held a few hours before the famous 24 Hours. The event was named “Road to Le Mans” by ACO Le Mans organizers as well and it represents a big opportunity for Lacorte / Sernagiotto, who will be back on track at the wheel of the Villorba Corse Ligier JS P3 Nissan. In fact the race will host LMP3 class prototypes and GT3-spec cars as it is valid as the second 2016 GT3 Le Mans Cup round. So the team led by Raimondo Amadio will also line up the Ferrari 458 GT3 of French crew formed by Cedric Mezard and Steeve Hiesse.
