The Italian Team did it, the Dallara LMP2 is ready to start the pre-race test, before the start of the race scheduled for 15:00. Amadio: "Goal achieved, a great demonstration of will""
Le Mans (France), 16 june 2018. The Cetilar Villorba Corse Dallara LMP2 is ready for the Le Mans 24 Hours warm up, which will start at 9:00. The Italian team coordinated by Raimondo Amadio has managed to bring the prototype to the start of the world's most famous and selective endurance race, after the damages suffered following the track exit which took place on Thursday 14 June during the 2nd qualifying session. The team yesterday took part in the drivers' presentation parade between two rows of fans in the centre of Le Mans.
Thanks to the tireless and persevering work of technicians and mechanics of the entire team supported by Dallara technicians, the goal of being ready at the start of the warm up has been achieved. Pisa-born Roberto Lacorte, venetian Giorgio Sernagiotto, both at their second experience on the 13.6 Kms of the Sarthe circuit, together with Brazilian former F1 driver Felipe Nasr at his debut in the French marathon, can take to the track for the final test of the number 47 Dallara with Gibson engine.
An extraordinary team work in which Cetilar Villorba Corse believed from the moment right after the inconvenience on Thursday, just like the Dallara staff immediately deployed to support the team from Treviso.
-"We never gave up in all this time and kept pushing. The car is ready, the crew and the whole team more motivated than ever, towards this adventure which has already seen Cetilar Villorba Corse star, able to respond with determination and professionalism to a previously unknown inconvenience - commented with satisfaction Team Principal Raimondo Amadio - we start with the warm up as scheduled, to continue with the start of the 24 Hours. We are all ready to live every moment of the legendary race. The first goal has been reached, I praise all my boys of which I am extremely proud!"-.
